- TITLE OF COURSE: PE1671 - Skeet and Trap Shooting
- COURSE DESCRIPTION: One credit hour. Two hours lab per week.. This class is designed to introduce students to trap shooting, gun and ammunition selection, and discussion of gun safety and trap shooting etiquette. For each unit of credit, a minimum of three hours per week with one of the hours for class and two hours for studying/preparation outside of class is expected.
- PROGRAM AND DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT: The SCCC/ATS physical education program will broaden the understanding of fitness for life by providing general education, appropriate technology, and professional development opportunities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

- METHODS OF ASSESSMENT: Methods of assessing the general course outcomes and the specific course competencies include knowledge and practice of safety procedures, skill as demonstrated on the trap field, and attendance.
- SCCC/ATS Instructional Outcome #6 will be assessed and measured by participation and instructor evaluation of shooting techniques and safety procedures.
- SCCC/ATS Instructional Outcome #8 will be assessed and measured by attendance and participation in class discussions.
